Q. What is the amount of the Dale Krueger Scholarship award?

A. The total scholarship award is $2,000 per year for up to four years of eligibility as an undergraduate student.

Q. How many scholarships are awarded each year?

A. To the extent that is reasonably feasible and consistent with the scholarship guidelines, the selection committee shall attempt to provide one-fourth of the total funds for each freshman, sophomore, junior and senior class of students.

Q. How are the recipients for Dale Krueger Scholarships selected?

A. Mr. Krueger's Last Will and Testament created a selection committee comprised of the Superintendents of the Gresham, Reynolds and Centennial High School Districts or their designees. A majority vote of the committee determines which applicants receive a scholarship.

Q. I live outside the Gresham area. Am I still eligible for the Krueger Scholarship?

A. You are eligible if you are under the age of 21, a graduate of a high school supported by the Gresham-Barlow, Centennial or Reynolds School District high school. In addition, you must be a resident of the district when you attend the high school, but need not remain a resident of the district following high school graduation.

Q. Do I need to reapply each year once I am a recipient?

A. No. The Dale Krueger scholarship is awarded for four years of undergraduate study. Recipients must maintain a 2.0 GPA during their freshman year and a 2.5 GPA thereafter in order to remain eligible. You are responsible for submitting a copy of your grades to the Krueger Scholarship office following the end of each academic year. In addition, scholarship recipients must complete a minimum of 42 terms or 28 semester credit hours each academic year to continue to receive their scholarship.

Q. What are the requirements to maintain the scholarship?

A. Requirements to maintain the scholarship are as follows:

  • Complete and receive 14 credit hours per term
    • Term (Fall, Winter, Spring) – 42 credits per year
    • Semester (Fall, Spring) – 28 credits per year
  • Maintain a minimum of 2.0 or better during your freshman year
  • Maintain a minimum of 2.5 or better during your sophomore and junior years
  • Submit an official transcript of your credits and GPA following the end of each academic year

Q. If my scholarship is terminated due to failure to meet the GPA or credit hour requirements, may I apply for reinstatement of the award?

A. No, once your scholarship has been terminated, your eligibility has expired.

Q. What happens to my scholarship if I fail to meet the requirements?

A. Your scholarship funds are sent to the Financial Aid Office of your school prior to the beginning of each academic year with a letter of instruction to apply the funds equally to each term or semester. Any unused portion of your award must be returned to the Dale Krueger Scholarship Fund.

Q. What if I am changing schools and want to transfer my Krueger Scholarship to a different institution?

A. Complete and submit the Change of School Form to update your records.

Q. What if I have moved since I applied for the Krueger Scholarship?

A. Complete and submit the Change of Address Form to update your records.

Q. I am not receiving any letters or correspondence from the Krueger Scholarship and my funds have not arrived at my school. What should I do?

A. If you have moved recently, complete and submit the Change of Address Form to update your records.
